- As of November 2016, by presidential decree Mihail Agafiţa holds the highest title of honor of the Republic of Moldova in the field of culture - "People's Artist", awarded for remarkable achievements and extraordinary stage performance
- As of October 2010 – by presidential decree (in Rep. of Moldova), in recognition of outstanding service in developing and promoting the music art and an intensive concert practice, the conductor of the Symphony Orchestra, Mihail Agafiţa, has been awarded the title of "Honoured Master in Arts".
- As of February 2012 - in recognition of the outstanding merits and contribution to the lyric stage, Mihail Agafiaa has been awarded the "Lya Hubic" trophy (Cluj, Romania)
- As of January 2016 – Mihail Agafita holds the „Gavriil Musicescu” trophy awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova for outstanding contribution in promoting the symphonic art and remarkable performances in exceptional events.
- As of February 2018 - the title of honor "The Man of the Year" in the Culture nomination, for remarkable achievements and professionalism, awarded by the magazine "VIP Magazin"
- As of May 2019 - the title of honor "Honorary Citizen of the Calarasi district" as a sign of high appreciation, and gratitude for the prodigious activity in the valorisation of the cultural heritage, as well as for the meritorious contributions in promoting the symphonic creation and for exceptional performances
